biker mice from mars
Luke, Dylan, Lil' Mitch and I went out on an adventure yesterday to survey the snow situation north of the city. After a quick stop at our usual stomping grounds, Horseshoe, we decided it was worth spending the extra $3 on a lift ticket at Moonstone. We did some laps, held a camera for a few, diggy-do..... edit. Thanks for the fun times moonstone peoples.

Park Opening Day at Big White
This weekend marked the opening day for Big White's park. It was a long few days of building, and we could definitely use some more snow, but the park turned out great. The building process went off without a hitch and I even got to ride in a snowcat for the first time. At this point there are just rails and boxes so I spent the day on top to bottom jib lines. It was a super fun day and the park is only going to get better as the season continues.
Thumbs up for the 2011/2012 Big White Telus Park.
Snowcat ride!
Lots of features ready to go once we get a bit more snow.

Good friend of the daggers, Cole, just made this edit happen on the internet! If you don't watch it, we'll kill you, or at least harm you, and you might hurt Coles feelings.

JDG and Kyle Dupuis
This edit comes at a time where, in Toronto, there isn't a drop of snow to be found on the ground, with temperatures supposed to hit +10 this weekend. Despite being December, snow fun hasn't even crossed the minds of the the hog town dagger scene. On the other hand, you have J-Ferg, Steph and Frankie laying turns in Whistler, Daley doing the same at Big White, and JDG doing what he can, with what he has, in the Ottawa Valley.
Those who know Jesse, knows he goes hard, this is a perfect example. And super pal Kyle fucking Dupuis is in this too, we were riding with both these guys well before we were legally able to drive cars, so much love for both!

First Day at Big White
Well December 1st marked the opening day at Big White. I was all pumped, got all my gear on and off I went down from my place to the bottom of the hill to wait in line for the lift. I got to the bottom around 7:50 and was already, except for I realized that I forgot my pass. So up the hill I went running all the way back to my house grabbed my pass and then back down to wait in line. I guess running up the hill was a pretty good way to warm up the season.
So once I got back down to the lift line I hopped back in with some of the other guys from the park crew. The lift started around 8:40 and we managed to make about fifth chair. The rush was on and right away everyone ducked under the ski patrol fences. Nice untouched powder with pillows and drops all the way down. I was fortunate to be riding with some locals and they showed me some awesome spots, thanks guys! I apologize for the lack of good pictures in this post, because we were too busy shredding to stop. Hopefully as the season progresses, so will my photography.
Randoms everywhere as the people waited for the chairs to start turning.
First ride up at Big White.
The first time we blasted through here it was untouched, this time it wasn't.

The End of the Daley Bucket: For Now...
The end of the trip has come and gone. Bucket stayed in Edmonton and is continuing to live it up with Newman. I left a week or two ago and set out for Big White where I will be living for the season. I've talked to Newman and Bucket a couple of times after I left and I know they're still having a blast in Edmonton. I just want to take the time to thank Newman for putting us up for a month in his house. Not only did he let us stay with him, but he got us both jobs for that month too! Thanks a lot bud. And to Bucket thanks for the great adventure of driving across this great country, it was a blast! and if you ever have any trouble with bears, I'll do my best to halp you out.
Newman took this picture before we went to the Eskis game. May we always adventure. And in your travels let this toast keep the good times rolling: "Here's to misfortune, may she never catch up."

The Daley Bucket: Part 11: Edmonton
So we blasted right through Saskatchewan and into Edmonton to stay with our good friend Newman. Newman is the big boss man where he works, so he got Bucket and I a job at a car wash for the duration of our stay in Edmonton. He also let us stay at his apartment, so he really took care of us. Thanks Newman! Newman lives really close to the stadium where the Edmonton Eskimos play the CFL football game, so shortly after arriving we went. It cost us $25 for two tickets from scalpers. Definitely worth it plus the Eskimos won! Way to take care of business Edmonton.
The good ol' CFL footbal game.
GO ESKS! Or else.
